Birthdays in Auckland!

Since moving to Auckland six weeks ago, Sylvie has turned one and Orla three!

Here are some pictures of their respective special days with some other special moments in between.

May the 1st: Sylvie's Birthday Party at Aunt Ginny's.

A little bit overwhelmed - clutching her new rabby from Great Great Aunt Flis.

Warming up...
... getting excited...
... delighted.

Next day, May the 2nd, we moved in.
No heating and no insulation so all rugged up in Grandma Dot's winter woollies at breakfast time.

Orla's beloved Bagster and the rest of the Crawshaw clan from England then arrived in Auckland on their whirlwind round the world tour.

Orla performed a special welcoming ceremony.

There he is!

We took them for a rather wet walk out west.

This is Sammy, Bagster's little brother.

Don't ever say goodbye even though I'm blue...
... and in need of a tickle!

Time for tea!

A very happy traffic jam

Mothers Day brunch

Lucky Mummy.
June the 3rd: Orla's Birthday Party at Home (two days before actual birthday)

Decorating her birthday cake with Granny.

 All finished!

 There's the Granite!
 Pressie time.
 What could it be?
"I don't believe it, I've really always wanted a baby cot Mummy".

With Bubba down for the afternoon, the party kicked off with a good old fashioned round of Pass the Parcel.

 A thousand wishes.

Time for Granny to go home
 - we can't wait till she comes back in July!

5th of June - actual birthday. Opening her present from Possum.
 Dora stickers! Thanks Poss!
What did you get me Rabby?
Of course! A pink rabbit jelly mould.
Now close your eyes for Mummy and Daddy's present.

 What could it be?
At last, a place our extensive collection of Sylvanian Families can call home.

And look! Here's a new family of Kangaroos from Grumpa Rich!

What more could a girl want? Perhaps a bit of a hair brush.

Finger painting and general gift exploration with Grumpa Rich who flew up for the night with Susu.

That night we lit our first real fire.
The whole family pitched in...
...  and are now toasty warm tucked up in bed.

Good night everybody.

Special love to Ro, John, Grandpa Don and Grandma Dot. We love you xoxo
